Welcome
Welcome to ridemt! This should have been my first post, sorry. My husband (Cody) races motocross in the Flathead Valley, in Montana. This blog is dedicated to those who want to join and/or learn more about this great sport. I will be adding pictures soon.
We have been into HCMA racing for a few years now. Cody currently rides a 2005 Yamaha YFZ450, built to the hilt, natch. This has been the one thing we have found that we can enjoy together. He races and I'm "Crew Chief". These posts will start out with helpfull information, and as race season continues I will post how each race went for us, with pictures.
This is how we roll
The most common types of transportation we see are, trailers, campers, full size vans, and daily vehicles with and without tents. We had an 18X8 car hauler trailer that we remodeled for racing; it has some permanent fixtures we had fabricated, a four helmet rack which also has a hanging system in it for ride clothes, a double gas can holder, three racks with hooks for tie downs, a small rack for cans (cleaners), and a table that folds against the wall. We will be having a bed frame that folds into the wall made too. We attached hooks to the floor where we wanted the bikes strapped in, and created a small carpeted area in the front to just lounge on, and mounted a paper towel rack. We keep all of the ride gear, a tool box, a mattress, a plastic tote with bedding materials and a heater, and folding chairs in the trailer at all times. We sold this trailer and are waiting for our new V nose 16X7 to arrive. I will post pics as soon as it gets here.

Campers are in my opinion the easiest way to travel, because they usually have bathrooms, and a refrigerator.

We have recently seen people who buy full size vans and gut them to set up a similar to that of our trailer. I will get with a van owner for pictures and get full scoop on these.
Some people just come in their car for the day and some times bring tents. I have noticed most come the night before for a great parking spot, this is also nice if you have friends coming the next morning, you can save a spot for them as well.
