Memorial Day

Memorial Day is for us to remember those who have fought, for our freedom throughout history, and for those who continue to fight. Whether or not you agree with this war, you still have soldiers to thank for your freedom to express your opinion and be safe in your home everyday.
I was in search of baby names today and Googled "lioness", since the baby is going to be of the astrological sign Leo my mom calls her "the lioness". In my search I found "Team Lioness" this is the documentary of women who serve our military in combat along side the men. Please take a moment and Google them, their story as with all of our soldiers is amazing and humbling.
We were supposed to go camping for this Memorial Day 2008, and every Memorial Day it rains. This year in the elevation we were supposed to camp in many inches of snow were expected, so we opted out. The plan now is to go next weekend, I have my work baby shower next weekend so I won't be camping then either. I would be spending most of the weekend alone anyway (save for a very bored Rottweiler named Kimber who will have about 60 feet to roam in because she thinks she should run free in the woods eating any dead thing she pleases),Cody and his friend who plan on going would be out and about most days hunting for bear. If I have to spend most of the weekend alone, at least at home I have all my comforts and a computer :). At some point this summer I will be making a camping trip.
AND I will have new baby stuff to play with, it has been driving me bonkers not to be able to go buy stuff lately! I am bringing my camera to the shower, so I will put up pictures.
Gramma says the baby quilt has taken on a new life, and is close to being done, she will send me pictures soon.
