Here are pictures of the crib in almost all of it's complete glory. The bed skirt is still not here, I'm not normally a bed skirt person, but for now under the crib is toy storage & I'd like to hide that.
As you can see I will be keeping the bed set, it's cute and I like it better than anything else. Also it was kindly (except not really) brought to my attention that I'm a moron. To the sheer delight of my co workers, not only did I have an unnecessary melt down, I also e mailed the company to ask if this was normal. The company was very nice, while everyone else took advantage of my lack of knowledge and I became comic relief all day at work Friday. I'm beginning to think I could suck at my job (which I don't) and they'd still love to keep me around strictly for entertainment purposes. Can't say I blame them, as I seem to be pretty entertaining.
For those of you not in the know, baby comforters are not supposed to fit the crib, they are designed to fit the baby. Smaller comforters lessen suffocation hazards, you're also not even supposed to keep the comforter on the bed, for that same reason. I will remove the comforter when she's ready to use the crib, with the comforter being as small as it is I can't get it tucked in tight enough where a wiggly little baby couldn't un-tuck it. I figure this will just give us an extra blanket to take along for now.
